Implant Post

"We’ll help restore your confidence and quality of life with our personalized dental implant solutions."

Our Dental Implant Solutions

A dental implant is a titanium screw that is inserted into the jawbone to mimic the function of a natural tooth root. Onto this implant post, we can attach a single dental crown or dental bridge to replace one or several missing teeth in a row. Two or more dental implants secured around the jaw can also provide additional support for a denture. Implant supported dentures, provide the security to improve everyday functions like eating and speaking.

Four or more dental implants secured to an IPS e.max® or zirconia fixed bridge of teeth provide the greatest long-term benefits for patients with many or all failing or missing teeth. Full mouth dental implants restore over 99% of dental function along with being custom designed in CAD/CAM software to each patient’s smile specifications as well as unique lip line and skin tone. The most life-like and long-lasting solution, this fixed bridge can permanently improve oral and systemic health as well as restore your confidence and quality of life.

Our team at VSP Dental has achieved the necessary training and education to provide comprehensive dental implant treatments right in our Danville, VA office. You won’t need to visit multiple offices to complete your procedures—they will all be done in our state-of-the-art practice that is fully equipped to provide dental surgeries. We leverage the advantages of technology as well, using such equipment as CBCT imaging for precision diagnostics and modern dental software for virtual surgical planning. We also print custom surgical guides, temporary teeth, and your final restoration all in our sophisticated in-house Sirona dental lab. Maintaining this level of quality and personalization throughout every phase of your treatment guarantees that the outcome of your care is perfectly tailored to your oral health needs and smile specifications!

Our Three-Phase Treatment Process

Our dental implant treatments can be broken into three main phases: consultation and planning, guided surgery, and recovery and restoration. We provide free second opinion consultations for all our dental implant treatments and encourage you to take advantage of this beneficial offer. At this appointment, we’ll discuss what you can expect as well as your own goals for treatment. Often during this appointment, we’ll take CBCT scans and digital impressions of your mouth to assess your bone quality and health. We use these scans to virtually map out your surgery, including the ideal location to place the dental implant(s) in your jawbone.

Next, we’ll custom design and 3D print your surgical guide in our dental lab. This guide will help us place the implants in the pre-planned position for maximum long-term stability and function. While this procedure generally only requires local anesthetic, we’ll discuss sedation options if you require additional help relaxing during your appointment. If the placed dental implants achieve primary stability, we may immediately attach a temporary set of teeth, which will provide function and aesthetics as you recover from surgery. During this healing phase, the jawbone and dental implants will integrate to create a strong foundation. Once this occurs, you’ll return to our office to complete the restorative phase of your treatment and receive your final, life-like, and permanent restoration.

Choose the Lasting, Cost-Effective Solution

Dental implants are the only permanent tooth replacement and the only solution designed to provide lasting functional and health benefits. Long-term, they become the more cost-effective option due to their superior durability and strength. You can think of dental implants as healthy natural teeth, but better. Able to perform the same functions as teeth, they still look and feel real, but won’t become stained, decayed, or worn down over time. Rarely, if ever, do dental implants need repairs or replacement. While a costlier treatment upfront, they outlive all other options by many years—and in some cases even decades—without any special maintenance or additional costs.

To ensure all our patients experience the difference a complete smile can make on their lives, we accept Delta Dental insurance and offer convenient financing options, including LendingClub, CareCredit®, iCare Financial®, and Alphaeon® Credit. These companies offer a variety of low-interest loans, peer-to-peer financing, and healthcare credit cards. By helping break dental implant treatment cost into small monthly payments, virtually all our patients can afford our care! For your peace of mind, we also offer a 5-year warranty for all our restorations. We encourage you to contact our financial coordinator to learn more about your benefits and what you qualify for.
